  • The Bruoux Mines

    To visit the mines is to enter the heart of the Luberon ochre. Vertiginous cliffs, flamboyant colors and a gigantic labyrinth of underground galleries make up a unique and mysterious setting where the work of man blends with the natural beauty of the Provencal landscape. These old quarries are the monumental vestiges of the glory years of the ocriere industry, spread out over a maze of galleries of more than 40km long and 15m high. Guides will accompany you on a 650 m long tour where you will discover the geological, historical and industrial richness of this preserved place.

  • Le Popes’ Palace

For a quick visit or just to stroll around…… There is always a way to visit the Popes’ Palace that is made for you. It is the largest gothic palace, it was built in less than 70 years and has 25 places to visit. From the ceremonial rooms, cloisters, private apartments of the pope to the priceless frescoes, the palace of the popes can be discovered and transported to the heart of the history of Avignon.

  • Fontaine de Vaucluse

    This is the village that gave its name to the department, and it is also here that the Sorgues river takes its source in a spectacular tumult. To reach the abyss you will cross incredible landscapes and will be surprised by the power of the source.

  • Lourmarin Castel

    In an exceptional setting facing the village, the castle of Lourmarin (classified as a historical monument in 1973) is the first renaissance castle in Provence. Built in the 15th century, its owner had a renaissance wing built (1526) with a remarkable unity and purity of style. In 1920 Laurent Vibert, a university professor, bought and restored the castle. At his death he bequeathed it to the Academy of Sciences, Agriculture, Arts and Belles Lettres of Aix so that it could become an artists’ residence. The castle never ceases to enrich its program to amaze you. Numerous events and highlights adapted to all ages.
